Citrine can come in a yellow, golden or lemon variety of quartz. This colour comes from the heat of volcanic and other earthly activities. HTA stands for heat treated amethyst. These are not ‘natural’ citrine. They are amethyst, heated at a high temperature and thus become this colour.
Natural citrine, can be a very pale yellow, almost a green colour and is more expensive. Some enjoy both varieties and the energies of each.
